Dizmo into Action

 

The next morning, a very dark day looms over the city of Darsidius as Dober-man, Duke, and Dizmo are on top of one of the buildings in downtown Darsidius, and they are keeping an eye on Lee Austin’s dad and mom’s jewelry store at the front entrance and the back entrance at the Darsidius Mall, because they are having the large shipment of diamonds and the super diamond moved to their store this morning. Leonard and Loretta own the biggest jewelry store chain in the world, and they are having the biggest jewelry sale ever, and after the sale, they are also putting some of the world’s finest diamonds on display, including the super diamond, at the Austin Museum of Priceless Gems and Jewelry. Leonard, Loretta, and Jennifer are waiting outside the store, and the armored car pulls up escorted by four police cruisers. The police get out of their cruisers, and two guards get out of the armored car. The four policemen surround the armored car so they can keep an eye on things, and the two security guards and two stock boys start unloading the diamonds to carry them into the jewelry store.

 

Then suddenly, like an eagle swooping down for his prey, the Dark Panther swoops down out of the sky from nowhere and grabs Jennifer Austin and puts her in his Dark Panther Pod. And then he immediately closes the top, and then his thugs swoop down right behind him on their Panther Cycles, and they all have small containers of the Dark Panther Sleeping Gas, and as they fly by the four policemen, the two guards, and the two stock boys, they spray them in the face with the sleeping gas, and the sleeping gas immediately knocks them out, and they fall to the ground like rocks! Then Dober-man jumps through the air like a bolt of lightning, and he lands on the top of the Dark Panther Pod. “Force field on!” the Dark Panther says, and a force field in the form of laser beams surrounds his pod, and as the beams hit Dober-man’s body, they send him helplessly tumbling through the air, and he crashes like a bolder into the sidewalk, flat on his back!

 

Then as the Panther Thugs are trying to steal the diamonds and kidnap Leonard and Loretta, Dizmo comes spinning through the air. “Here comes a major headache!” Dizmo says as he hits one of the Panther Thugs on the head and sends him hurling through the air. “I bet that is a Dizmo-size headache!” Dizmo proclaims. Then Duke jumps through the air with brute force toward two of the thugs and sends them and their flying cycles spinning through the air out of control. Then Dizmo spins and hits two of the flying cycles on the front end and sends them hurling end over end through the air.

 

But as he hits the last flying cycle, his dizzy mode kicks in. “Hey, watch it, wise guy!” Dizmo says as he spins out of control and hits the store wall and lands on the sidewalk. As Dober-man gets up, Von, Crusher, and Hellena start to grab his dad and his mom; they are trying to kidnap them.

 

“You’re not going anywhere with them!” Dober-man shouts as he jumps all the way from where he is standing, and he kicks the front end of Von’s and Crusher’s Flying Panther Cycles, and he sends them hurling through the air. And then Hellena comes flying at Dober-man about chest level while she is spinning one of the short laser fighting sticks at him.

 

“I’m going to get you this time, Dober-man!” she proclaims as he blocks the short laser fighting stick with his right hand and takes it from her. Then he grabs the front of her flying cycle with his left hand, and he starts buzzing her head with the short laser fighting stick.

 

“Have you had a buzz lately? You need one with all the hair that you have!” he says laughingly while he is spinning the laser fighting stick all around her head, and she is moving her head all around, frantically trying her best to keep from being hit by the lasers coming out of the end of the laser fighting stick. “I float like a butterfly and sting like a bee!” Dober-man says laughingly as he buzzes Hellena’s head with the short laser fighting stick a few more times, and then he hurls the short laser fighting stick through the air, and he grabs a hold of the front of her cycle with both hands, and he starts spinning her and her cycle around and around, and then he lets go and sends her and her Panther Cycle spinning around and around through the air so fast that it looks like an unidentified flying object hurling out of control. But as he looks up, the Dark Panther has already made

 

 

off with Jennifer, and now the Dark Panther has Lee’s sister and his brother. And wouldn’t you know that the city’s reporters have gotten there in time to get shots of all the action and get shots of the Dark Panther making off with Jennifer.

 

“Are you two all right?” Dober-man asks his dad and mom as he walks over to them and puts his left hand on his mom’s left shoulder, and he pats his dad on his right shoulder with his right hand.

 

“Yeah, I think we’re all right, Dober-man, but the Dark Panther kidnapped our daughter Jennifer, and we haven’t seen our son Ridge for what seems like forever now,” Leonard says in a heartbroken tone.

 

“Thanks for your help, Dober-man,” Loretta says with great gratitude.

 

“Woof, woof!” Duke barks while he is looking up at them.

 

“Thank you too, Duke!” Loretta says as she is petting Duke on the head. The policemen and the security guards and the stock boys are just waking up from the sleeping gas.

 

“Hey, it’s Dober-man and Duke. We saw your pictures in the paper this morning!” one of the stock boys says with excitement.

Then Dizmo comes wobbling up from the sidewalk, saying, “Whoa, I think I, have a Dizmo-size headache!”

 

“You can’t get headaches, Dizmo!” Dober-man says laughingly.

 

“I know, but it sounded funny anyway,” proclaims Dizmo.

 

“We’ll be looking for your son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Austin,” Doberman says with a very strong and meaningful tone, for his dad and mom have no idea who Dober-man and Duke really are because Lee has on his Dober-suit, of course, which completely hides his true identity, and the breastplate that Duke wears makes him look bigger, so the Dober-breastplate completely makes Duke look like a different Doberman pinscher.

 

“What is the little robot’s name?” one of the reporters asks.

 

“Why, I’m Dizmo!” Dizmo says boastfully.

 

“Let’s go, Duke and Dizmo,” says Dober-man, and they are gone like the wind. The next morning, they have a huge picture of Dober-man, Duke, and Dizmo on the front page, and they have pictures of the Panther Thugs trying to steal the diamonds again, but they also have a picture of the Dark Panther getting away while kidnapping Jennifer. The headlines read, “Dober-man and friends, Duke and Dizmo, saved the diamonds again, but they couldn’t stop the Dark Panther from kidnapping Jennifer Austin, the daughter of our city’s richest couple, Leonard and Loretta Austin.”

 

All Lee can do is hang his head in shame because he was able to save the diamonds and his dad and mom, but he could not do anything to help his brother or his sister.

Out Here on the Edge

 

I’m out here on the edge, trying so hard to help save the rest. Lee Austin is thinking to himself as he is walking down a very dark and lonely street. I am filled with so much rage inside that it’s like a thousand voices crying out all at the same time. My life has changed so much that I hardly even know who I am anymore. I can save others. I even saved the diamonds, but I can’t even save my own brother or sister! This dark, lonely street seems as if it goes on forever. What am I going to do? I have to find Ridge and Jennifer, but I don’t know if I can take this anymore. It’s tearing me apart inside. What am I going to do? I can’t tell my father and my mother that I am Dober-man, so even with all my powers, I feel helpless. I feel so much pressure out here on the edges of my skull I feel like my head is going to explode! I can’t take it anymore.

 

“Suit on!” he yells at the top of his lungs as he jumps upward, and as he is ascending, his Dober-suit instantly covers his entire body from head to toe.

 

Dober-man lands halfway up on the side of a one-hundred-story building, and he grabs a hold of the side of the building, and then he jumps upward again. And he lands on the top right on the edge of the roof! He takes off running across the top of the building like a bullet shot out of a high-powered rifle. He jumps from building to building, from rooftop to rooftop with brute force. With all the anger and the rage built up inside of him, he is bound and determined to find the Dark Panther and to save Ridge and Jennifer. As he is still running and jumping from rooftop to rooftop, he thinks to himself, I must control this rage. I must control my anger if I am going to help my brother and my sister. Then suddenly he jumps skyward off the top of the last building that he was running across, and he is falling several thousand feet downward, but he is very much in control of his body. Then suddenly he yells out with every fiber of his being. “I am coming for you, Dark Panther. I am coming for you!”

 

And as he crashes down into the sidewalk, he also punches the sidewalk with superhuman force, and then suddenly, as he comes to a complete halt, he finds himself in a hole that’s at least six feet deep from where he had crashed into the sidewalk with such earth-shattering impact that it shook the entire city. And everyone who was asleep has woken up out of their sleep in fear, because they think that they have just witnessed an earthquake. Isn’t that really definitive of my life that I have just found myself in a six-foot hole! Dober-man thinks to himself as he jumps up out of the hole.

 

Well, I jumped up out of the hole—now let’s see if I can dig myself and Ridge and Jennifer out of the hole that I have gotten all of us in , Dober-man thinks to himself because he feels so responsible for everything that has gone wrong with not only his life but with everyone else’s lives. He jets off through the city streets so fast that no one can see him; he busts through the wall of an old abandoned warehouse, and he turns the warehouse upside down room by room, floor by floor, searching for Ridge and Jennifer. But they are nowhere to be found. He takes off through the city streets again, and he crashes through a steel door of an abandoned office building, and he tears through the office building room by room and floor by floor as if there aren’t any boundaries and as if there is nothing in his path, but there is still no trace of Ridge and Jennifer. He races back and forth from one end of the city to the other with frantic actions and frantic emotions, but with no trace of Ridge and Jennifer. Then suddenly Dober-man collapses to the ground, and he sits there on the ground with his head resting in his hands. I must get control of this. I have to think clearly if I am going to find Ridge and Jennifer. If I am going to find them, I have to think this thing through, but I need time. I need to search things out. But I just hope that they have the time to wait for me. They better have the time because the Dark Panther is a very clever man, and I know that I will not find them easily, but I will find them. I will find them. I have to find them. If I can’t find them, I don’t know if I can ever forgive myself! He thinks to himself as he races back to the scene of the crime, where Jennifer was kidnapped, to search for clues. He combs the area thoroughly, but he can’t find anything that would lead him to them. Then out of utter frustration, Dober-man begins to tear through the rest of the city like a level 5 tornado, one abandoned warehouse and one abandoned office building at a time, until he feels that he has not left any stone unturned.

 

I’ve looked everywhere that I can think of, where the Dark Panther could be hiding them . . . and yet there is no trace. It seems as if Ridge, Jennifer, the Dark Panther, and all eight of his thugs have disappeared without a trace , he thinks to himself. Then Dober-man walks down the long and winding street by himself. Is this how I am going to end up by myself, and all because I have severely let myself and my family down? How can I keep this from Dakota and my dad and my mom? Of course, they know about Ridge and Jennifer, but if they find out about the part that I have played in this, they will never forgive me, but that’s okay, because I don’t deserve to be forgiven! Well, its almost time for the sun to come up, so I better get back to the secret Dober-lab so I can think this thing through, and I’ll just have to have faith that Ridge and Jennifer have the time for me to find them. I’ll have to get together with Nick and see if he can help me find them. I know in my heart that he can help me. I know that we can find them, especially with Duke’s and Dizmo’s help. We can find them, we have to find them, we just have to! Dober-man thinks to himself.

 

Lee is in the secret Dober-lab with Dr. Nelson. “How are we going to find Ridge and Jennifer? Nick, what are we going to do? I feel like I am at my wit’s end,” he says with a nervous tone in his voice.

 

“Calm down, Lee. Everything will be okay. We are going to use every resource from the Dober-lab and every resource that we have at our disposal, and with the help of Duke and Dizmo, we will find them,” Nick says as he pulls up the real-definition Dober-screen. Nick calls it real-definition because it has the highest resolution picture on the planet. Nick knows every nook and cranny of the city. He knows the city of Darsidius like the back of his hand. “There are a lot of underground places in the city. There are dozens of abandoned warehouses and office buildings in the city with secret rooms and hidden places, as you well know, Lee. Darsidius is a very secret and mysterious city.” And he points out all these different places to Lee on the Dober-screen, and as he draws up a diagram and a plan to help Lee find Ridge and Jennifer, he pushes a button, and the Dober-screen closes.

 

“That’s a mastermind of a plan,” Lee says as he and Nick chuckle. “Now I can find Ridge and Jennifer and get revenge on Dr. Morris,” Lee says with hatred in his eyes.

 

“You should be careful with all that hatred built up inside, Lee. Hatred can work against you. Hatred is not good. Hatred can tear you apart, and it can tear everyone else around you apart,” Nick says as he is trying to help Lee think more clearly because he knows if Lee doesn’t get his head straight, it will be even harder to find Ridge and Jennifer. And Nick also knows that all this hatred really will tear Lee apart. Even with all Lee’s superpowers he can still defeat himself from the inside out . . . if he doesn’t find a way to get a handle on the hatred in his heart and the things that have gone wrong in his life, and with all the major changes that have happened to his body.
